Zackem

Privacy Policy

Zackem, a product of Emaili LLC · Last updated October 13, 2026

In short: Zackem is software that runs on your own computer. We do not operate email servers, and we do not receive, store, read or sell the contents of your email, your contacts, your calendar, or your account passwords. We do keep a customer record when you register the App or buy a license — your name, email address and a few technical details — so that we can issue licenses, provide support and improve Zackem. Everything we hold is described below.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy is issued by Emaili LLC ("we," "us"), a New York limited liability company, 4118 14th Avenue, Suite 101, Brooklyn, New York 11219, the publisher of the Zackem desktop application (the "App"), the website at zackem.ai (the "Site"), and our licensing and support services.

2. How the App works

The App connects directly from your computer to the email, calendar and contact services you choose to add (for example Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, Apple or your own mail server). Messages travel between your provider and your computer only. A copy of your mail is stored on your computer so that it can be displayed, searched and used offline. Emaili LLC is not a party to that connection and has no technical means of viewing it.

3. Information we do not collect

4. Information stored only on your computer

The App keeps your mail copy, settings, account list, labels, reminders, time records and similar data on your device. Passwords and sign-in tokens are stored using the operating system's protected credential storage (Windows Credential Manager on Windows, Keychain on macOS). This data remains under your control; removing an account from the App deletes its local data, and uninstalling the App together with its data folder removes it entirely. You are responsible for the security of your own device and any backups you make.

5. Information we collect

Registration. When you first open the App, you register it with your name, your email address and, optionally, your company name. The App also records your country, your computer's language setting, the App version and your Windows or macOS version, and our server records the internet (IP) address the registration came from and the date. We use this information to create your customer record, verify your email address, issue and recover license keys, provide support, understand where Zackem is used and in which languages, and send you service notices about the App. We do not sell this information.

Downloads and check-ins. Our server records each download of the App (date, platform, country and IP address). Periodically, the App tells our server that the installation is active and which version it runs, so that we can see how many copies are in use and deliver updates. These check-ins contain no email content.

License purchases. Payments are processed by our payment provider, which is named on the checkout page and handles your card details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, country, the product purchased and the license key issued, which we keep to deliver and support your license and to meet tax and accounting obligations. We never receive your full card number.

Correspondence. If you email us — for support, the beta program or any other reason — we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, and use it only to respond and to improve the App.

Error reports. If the App encounters an error, it may offer to send a technical report. Reports are sent only if you agree, are designed to exclude email content, and are used only to fix problems.

The Site. The Site uses a bot-protection check on the download button and does not use advertising cookies. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operations.

6. Artificial-intelligence features

AI features are off by default. If you turn them on, you choose one of the following:

7. Google and Microsoft account data

Where the App accesses Google user data, its use and transfer of that information adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained from Google or Microsoft accounts is used solely to provide the App's user-facing features, is not used for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to train artificial-intelligence models.

8. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share the limited information described in Section 5 only with service providers who help us operate (such as our payment provider, email host and website or server host), when required by law or valid legal process, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business, in which case this Policy will continue to apply.

9. Retention

We keep your customer record for as long as your registration or license is active and for a reasonable period afterwards, purchase records for as long as required for tax, accounting and license-support purposes, and correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period thereafter. Download and check-in logs are kept in summarized form after ninety (90) days.

10. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to legal retention requirements; deleting your customer record ends any license tied to it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To make a request, write to [email protected].

11. International users

We are located in the United States, and the information described in Section 5 is stored and processed there. By registering the App, you understand that your information is transferred to the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.

12. Children

The App and Site are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

13. Security

We limit the information we collect, and the App is designed so that your mail does not pass through our systems. Customer records are stored on access-controlled, encrypted systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on the Site before they take effect.
